I shared on Facebook last week that I had made up a sausage recipe for breakfast. I promised to give you all the recipe, too. Well, here it is! These were really yummy. My only wish is that I’d doubled or tripled this recipe! ENJOY!
Chicken Apple Breakfast Sausage Patties
1 lb Â Â Â Â ground chicken (pastured)
2 Â Â Â Â Â Â eggs (from pastured chickens)
1 Â Â Â Â Â Â apple, grated (with a cheese grater)
1/4 tsp Â ground cloves
1/2 tsp Â onion powder
1/2 tsp Â ground nutmeg
1 tsp Â Â Â ground allspice
1 tsp Â Â Â ground ginger
1 tsp Â Â Â ground sage
Combine everything in a medium bowl. I put gloves on my hands and squish it all together. You could also use aÂ Kitchen Aid Mixer to mix it all up quite nicely. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium. Form the mixture into patties and cook in pre-heated skillet until both sides are nicely browned.
