I came up with this idea for breakfast today, and wow–YUM…You just have to try it to see!! This recipe fed my 4 kiddos and myself.
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup butter or coconut oil
3 apples, thinly sliced
2 bananas, sliced
1/4 cup honey
cinnamon
vanilla
1 quart homemade yogurt
Heat up a large skillet to medium-high and melt the butter or oil. Fry up the apples in the butter or oil until almost tender but not soft or mushy (about 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of your apple slices). Pour 1/4 cup of honey into the pan, let it start to bubble. Add bananas to the pan, sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with vanilla. Saute the bananas just until lightly browned and softened. Remove from heat.
Divide yogurt into 5 bowls, top with Apple-Banana topping and serve.
