This is another area where my taste buds have grown up: cantaloupe. I never liked it, ever. I can tolerate it now, and even enjoy it in a smoothie like this! Simple & refreshing, and a great addition to breakfast–or perfect for an afternoon thirst quencher/energy booster after being in the sun! (Or, don’t add the ice and pour it into popsicle molds for a frozen treat!!)
Orange Cantaloupe Smoothie
2 c ice
Remove the rind of the cantaloupe and scoop out the seeds. Cut into large chunks. Peel the oranges, remove seeds. Place the cantaloupe, oranges and ice into a Vita Mix, in order, and puree until smooth.
