Small Scale, Diversified Farming
I believe that the modern mono-crop farm is hard on the land and therefore, is not stewardship. I believe in running diversified farms, where the manure is used on the crops (and not dumped in a pond or piled in a manure mountain). Every thing on the farm is useful and can work together (if it is done right). I believe in working *with* nature and not against it.
My family dreamed of owning a farm for a really long time before we were finally able to purchase our beautiful 30 acres! In almost 2 years, we’ve become experienced chicken and pig farmers! We have also raised some turkeys, geese, rabbits, a goat and several barn cats.
