    Grain-Free Spicy Whole Roasted Chicken

    May 24, 2018 /

One of the things I learned on the farm, raising our own chickens, was that farm chicken isn’t easily served up as boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs. Most of the time, our home-grown chicken was served as whole, roasted chicken. This brought about the need to create different and interesting whole chicken recipes! šŸ™‚ This was one of the recipes I created on the farm. This recipe can also be found in my GAPS Meal Plans. This chicken makes an excellent broth! I used it to make my Tomato Soup recipe & it made a tasty soup! Grain-Free Spicy Whole Roasted Chicken Author: Brenda Scott Serves: 4-8 Ingredients 1…

    Grain-Free Carrot Raisin Salad

    May 17, 2018 /

We’ve been making this salad since we were on the GAPS Diet (which we started approximately 10 years ago & were on for 3 years!). My kids love this salad. It is a nice dinner addition and quite easy to prepare. This recipe is in my GAPS Meal Plans. Grain-Free Carrot Raisin Salad Author: Brenda Scott Serves: 6 Ingredients 1 lb carrots, shredded 2/3 cup raisins, no sugar added 1 cup plain yogurt (homemade is best, use coconut milk yogurt for a dairy free version) 3 TB honey 1/2 tsp cinnamon, optional Instructions Combine yogurt, honey and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Shred carrots in a food processor or with…

    Grain-Free Tomato Soup

    May 10, 2018 /

This soup is from my GAPS Meal Plans & we enjoyed it again for lunch last week! This is really quite simple to prepare, and it is suitable for people who are eating GAPS, Paleo, Primal, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, and even vegetarian or vegan. My family serves this alongside gluten free grilled cheese sandwiches. There is a grain-free grilled cheese sandwich recipe in my meal plans, but you can use any kind of “bread” that works for your diet restrictions. Make sure to use tomatoes that are stored in a jar, not canned tomatoes. Tomatoes are acidic and therefore leech toxins out of metal cans lined with BPA. I prefer Jovial…

    Paleo Chicken Curry Salad (Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free)

    April 26, 2018 /

I made up this Curry Chicken Salad and served it at a Norwex party at my house last week. I’ll blog more about Norwex later, my friend Erin is selling it hereĀ if you want to check them out before I get a chance to blog about them. I don’t typically like microfiber because of the feeling/texture, but I amĀ super impressedĀ by Norwex! (I do not make money off of the link to Erin’s Norwex shop, but she does if you buy something, which I think is fabulous, because she’s a stay at home mommy of a busy 2 year oldĀ andĀ a real foodie!). ANYWAYS, back to the curry! I made this up,…
