Super Easy Cinnamon Chicken (GAPS legal)
My family loves this chicken recipe! The best part about it? The BROTH that you can make after you’ve taken the meat off of the bones. Mmmmm! It is SO good to drink! It’s like cinnamon toast in a cup! đ This is yummy paired with a sweet side dish, like sweet potatoes or butternut squash, or a spinach salad with a honey vinaigrette. I have made this chicken in the crockpot before–same seasonings, on low for most of the day. Super Easy Cinnamon Chicken Ingredients: 1 whole chicken (about 4 lbs) 1/4 tsp ground cloves 1/4 tsp ground allspice 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg 2 tsp ground cinnamon Directions:…

Creamed Spinach with Coconut Milk and Bacon
When I was a kid, I thought spinach came from a can (you know, like Popeye ate!), and it was disgusting. Well, friends, spinach doesn’t have to be disgusting, or from a can! And, it will be amazing (as everything is–except chocolate!) if you just add BACON! đ Creamed Spinach with Coconut Milk and Bacon Ingredients: 1 lbs spinach 8 strips bacon, uncooked, finely chopped 4 cloves garlic, minced 2 medium onions, finely chopped 4 TB butter or ghee 4 TB coconut flour 2 c coconut milk 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg sea salt and black pepper Directions: Bring a large pot of water to boil. Coconut Flour Cherry Chip Cupcakes
When I was little, my favorite type of dessert to have for my birthday was Cherry Chip, cupcakes with pink frosting, of course! The Cherry Chip cupcake mix came right out of a box mix, and I hate to think what might have been in the stuff! đ Well, your kids donât have to be âdeprivedâ (Ha!), they can have Cherry Chip cupcakes. Truth be told, these donât taste exactly like the original, but if your kids have never tried the boxed kind, theyâll never know! My kids liked them, anyways! Homemade Sangria with Honey
I am not a big alcohol drinker. I can count the number of times in my life that I’ve ever had alcohol. I don’t like it much. I like really good quality red wine (the expensive stuff!), and Sangrias, and that’s pretty much it. Sangrias are nice because they’re so fruity and sweet, you hardly notice that you’re drinking any alcohol. đ I purchased all of these ingredients (besides the honey, because we buy wholesale from a local apiary) from Trader Joes. I like Trader Joes, because I think they make it easy to buy and cook real food. There’s a lot of not-so-real-food there, too (avoid the candy, box…

Raspberry Coconut Milk Gelatin Dessert {GAPS Friendly}
I got this idea from Caraâs Chocolate Gelatin âPuddingâ. I love Caraâs recipes because theyâre simple. She makes it easy for people to eat GAPS. It does not have to be super difficult, people!  If youâre feeling overwhelmed by GAPS and you need help, I highly recommend Caraâs Intro Book and her Meal Plans. I wanted to make something pink for Valentineâs Day, so I played with her recipe and added frozen raspberries instead of chocolate. Youâll need to use an immersion blender or a blender so that you donât have big raspberry chunks. My kids really loved this recipe! At the bottom of the bowl there may be a thin layer that looks like…
