WFH Book Club: Nutrition & Physical Degeneration

by brenda on June 22, 2012

I went to the Weston Price Conference last year. I love Nourishing Traditions. I’m a member of the Weston Price Foundation. And yet, I have not read all the way through Weston Price’s book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. What I did read was absolutely fascinating, so I don’t know why I didn’t finish the book! Well, it’s time to read the whole thing through, and I’d like to invite all of you to join me!

This book club will begin Monday, July 9th (I will post a reading schedule that day). I will be posting about the book as we read, and I invite all of you to comment. I would love to see lively discussions going on here!

Who should read this book?

  • Anyone who loves, hates, or wonders about Nourishing Traditions.
  • Anyone who is curious about real food.
  • Carnivores. Omnivores. Herbivores.
  • Paleo people.
  • Vegetarians.
  • McDonalds and Snickers loving people. 😉
  • People who know deep down that fat isn’t bad for you, but they don’t know why.
  • Ok, basically everyone!

Will you read this awesome book with me? If so, go order it now.

Leave a comment & let me know if you plan to join in! 🙂

What a great idea! I still haven’t finished it either. I pick it up here and there as I have spare time. :snicker: Spare time. That’s a good one. 😉 I’ll try to carve out some time to join you and finally get it read!

Great idea! I don’t even have a copy of the book (yet), but I’ll certainly be following the discussions. If I get a copy soon, I’ll be joining in too!

I have pretty much read the whole thing…even all the side bars in the recipe section. But it is worth reading again. Will try to keep up with your schedule

LOVED this book! I think it is the size of the book that can make it daunting at times! I started and read about 1/2 way and then finished it awhile later…it was WORTH it!!! Such a great book! I can’t remember if I still have it or if it is one of the ones I lent out, but if I have it, I’ll try to follow along!

It’s a tough book to get through so It’s awesome you are doing a book club!

I would like to. It’s been sitting on my shelf for months. But I have a few library holds that are coming at me soon (some I’ve waited months for) so we’ll see how fast I can through those!

I’m In! The book is also available for free-reading online – for those who can’t get a copy.

Oh, I am definitely in! I have read sections of the book, but recently restarted from the beginning. I love this book!
