I am a grocery-price freak. Yup, I memorize how much items are per pound, and I know where to get them cheaper. Azure Standard is one of those companies I order from once every month or two for some particular staples. I like Azure Standard because:
- A lot of the stuff is organic
- I can buy in bulk and by the case
- Some of the products are from their own farm, in Oregon
- It means less trips to the store for me
- It makes real food more affordable for me
There is a minimum $500 order through Azure Standard, but this isn’t a problem if you combine orders with friends. Usually, one location (a home or a public parking lot) is chosen as a “drop point” and the big Azure semi-truck will drop off orders there once or twice monthly. Everyone has to go get their items when the truck arrives (unless the drop is at a house & you’ve pre-arranged for the home owner to store your items for you until you can pick them up). Azure Standard delivers to many different cities across the United States. To find out if your area is on their route, check out this pdf.
I buy many things through Azure Standard. If possible, I’ll link to the items on Amazon so that you can see the brand (and price comparison). 🙂

I’m the drop coordinator for my town. Sometimes I come close to the minimum on my own, but I’m sure glad I don’t have to in order to place an order! I love using them, but like you if I can get a better price on the same or similar items elsewhere, I will. I’ve found that Trader Joe’s organic pasture butter is cheaper than what I can get from Azure. Don’t know if you have that option though.
We get organic grains to mix for our chicken feed and I buy alfalfa pellets to use as milk time treats for my goats. I buy some produce from them, but have had mixed results. We get frozen berries, sometimes I get a 5 pound bag of frozen corn/peas/carrots/beans. Chocolate. 🙂 Pasta, corn tortilla chips, I love getting the new sale catalog to see what new items they have, or if any of my regular stuff is one sale.
Question-you wash your eggs?
I luvvvv Azure! found them about 4 months ago and my trips to the ‘wall’ mart place are decreasing 🙂
